Meaning of fields in the VGBN Green Pages Page
Purpose and Introduction
The Vermont Green Building Network’s Green Pages (VGBN Green Pages) is intended to provide local and regional contacts to green building product and services. There are several excellent regional and national databases which provide a board and comprehensive source of green building products. It is intended that the VGBN Green Pages expand on these resources by providing 1) both local and regional contacts for products and 2) more information on services, such as designers and builders, which is not generally available online in one place for Vermont, but is sure to be available for some of our partnership organizations. The VGBN Green Pages are also intended to serve as an easy to use resource for both professionals and consumers and to be as comprehensive as possible.
Listing Criteria and Policies
In order to make a listing in the VGBN Green Pages the following is required:
1. All listings are made by a member in good standing of the VGBN abiding by the VGBN Terms of Use.
2. Each listing MUST include an email contact at the listed organization for verification.
3. Any type of organization can be listed, but generally only one entry per organization should be made. For instance if a company sells both bamboo flooring and recylced resilient flooring, the VGBN Green Pages listing for that company should include descriptions and qualities of both products.
4. It is preferred that listings be made by a VGBN member affiliated with the listed organization. Commercial listings must be listed by an affiliated (employee/owner/etc…) VGBN member. For a one year grace period, a commercial listing may be listed by any VGBN member to promote growth of the database and member participation. Organizations are encouaged to maintain their own listings by having an affiliated individual become a VGBN member.
5. It is the intent of the VGBN Green Pages to focus on local and regional contacts. Some excellent links to nation green building product databases are included on the VGBN web links page. For instance, information on products from national manufacturers is encouraged to be listed under the local representing organization when possible.
6. After a listing is submitted or updated, it will be reviewed by the VGBN for clarity of information. Both the lister and contact email for the listed organization will be contacted to verify information submitted. Refer to the VGBN Terms of Use for more information on the accuracy of information in the VGBN Green Pages.

List an Organization in the VGBN Green Pages
Enter the appropriate information for each field keeping in mind the following guidelines:
• Any type of organization can be listed, but only one entry per organization should be made. For instance if a company sells both bamboo flooring and low VOC paint, the VGBN Green Pages listing for that company should include descriptions and qualities of both products. Contact our VGBN Green Pages administrator for possible exceptions for distributors that offer vastly different products or services, such as fly ash and energy efficient light fixtures.
• Status: Once the listing is reviewed by VGBN, the status will become active, so no entry is required.
• Organization Type: Select non-commercial if listed organization is a non-profit, government agency, public or educational institution or utility, or a private individual. Select commercial if organization is a for-profit business.
• Description of Products and Services: Enter a short description of each product or service offered by this organization, including sources of information. Especially for services, include how they help the green building effort.
• Is sponsoring VGBN member an officer, owner, officer or employee of this listing? Please indicate if the person making the listing is affiliated with the organization being listed.

• Division and Subdivision: The VGBN Green Pages use a modification of the popular CSI MasterFormat 1995 system to classify products and services. Indicate to which Divisions and Subdivisions all the products and services offered by this organization may be classified. When a Division is selected, the appropriate Sub-Division will be displayed.
