Designing Small Living Spaces - Yestermorrow Design/Build School, Warren, VT
Small can be beautiful…if it’s well-designed. By considering examples from different cultures and various housing modalities (trailers, houseboats, cottages), students will identify and learn to apply those principles of design relevant to small, efficient living spaces. Two days will be dedicated to examining case studies, including tours and interviews with inhabitants; students will then apply the ideas and design principles gleaned from these case studies as they work intensively on schematic designs of their own small spaces. This is not a detailed design class (i.e. the focus is on spatial layout and functionality). Bring your project, ideas, and enthusiasm! All Levels. 35 AIA Learning Units. Dates: June 1-6. Tuition: $750. For more information call 888-496-5541, or email:
